Eligibility Made Easy!

There are 2 Immigrant Investor Programs to choose from: one administered by the Canadian federal government, and the other by the provincial government of Québec. Each offers business people distinct opportunities and advantages.

To qualify for both Immigrant Investor Programs, investors must fulfill the government’s eligibility requirements:

A brief overview of the Immigrant Investor Program eligibility criteria*

  • You must possess world-wide net assets of at least $CAN800,000
  • You must have managerial experience
  • You must commit to a fully-secured passive investment of $CAN400,000 for a five-year term (or you may significantly reduce your payment through the Desjardins Golden Plan)

* For more information, please refer to the sections covering the specific criteria for the Federal Program and Québec Programs.

The required investment is 100% guaranteed by the government, and will be reimbursed, in full, upon maturity in five years. A passive investment does not require investors to establish a company in Canada.

Desjardins’ extensive experience with the Immigrant Investor Program and its sterling reputation as a leading financial institution ensures investors receive the unparalleled expertise and support they need to successfully relocate to Canada.
